Our closed-door pharmacy gives pharmacists a chance to utilize their skills while maintaining a work environment that is team-oriented, yet still provides an individual component where you have control over your own work. Primary responsibilities for a verification pharmacist include: Interpret and verify physicians' prescriptions as entered into the system by data entry technicians. Track order status and outstanding issues. Maintain daily production, quality and service levels. May be cross-trained into other departments (doctor call/drug interaction/drug choice management) and be responsible for the following: Take calls from customers regarding lost orders or dispensing errors. Contact doctors or other prescribers and/or patients on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription sig., and drug name in order to expedite processing of orders. Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization. Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possible. Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions. All positions have responsibilities that vary and require work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. It is essential to be available to help and assist other pharmacists and perform additional duties based on business needs. |

| BS in pharmacy, PharmD Ohio license in good standing Retail experience helpful Strong computer skills Attention to detail Able to work in an automated, production environment |
