Job Description for a Director of Pharmacy

Most management positions requires management of day-to-day operations of the pharmacy operations.

This person is responsible for coordinating and directing all activities related to filling prescriptions accurately.

They are often the license holder for the pharmacy and the point of contact to ensure the business is meeting all state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Managers are also responsible for hiring, training and evaluating staff.

They need to have strong people skills and know how to work with all different types of personalities.

At this level, tracking productivity and analyzing the operation and efficiency of the pharmacy is paramount and extremely important to the success of that business.

The ideal person would be able to think strategically and work with the flow of business to streamline operations.
