Job Description
We are seeking candidates energized about being involved in launching our network Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. The perfect candidate will have a particular interest in antibiotics, leadership skills, hospital experience, interpersonal skills, and data management skills. This is a unique opportunity to think outside the box and create a new and exciting program that will improve medication therapy to our patients. 
 
Required Education
Requirements include graduation from an accredited school or college of pharmacy with a BS or PharmD degree. Completion of an accredited residency is preferred. Candidate must obtain certification in pharmacotherapy or the subject of his/her specialty through the Board of Pharmacotherapy Specialties (BPS) within 30 months of assuming the position. A current Arizona Registered Pharmacist License required.

Job Description
Staff pharmacists fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel to provide timely, comprehensive, and cost-effective pharmaceutical services. Staff pharmacists work directly with physicians, nursing personnel, and other hospital personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager or director.

Reports directly to the pharmacy manager. Supervises pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the director or supervisor, the staff pharmacist is required to assume the essential responsibilities of the director or supervisor. Works directly with the patient, nursing personnel, and medical staff personnel. 
 
Required Education
Graduation from an accredited School or College of Pharmacy with a BS or PharmD degree

Valid current Arizona Registered Pharmacist License

Required: CPR required within 3 months of employment.

Preferred: ACLS, PALS, BCPS
